I don't know the name of this league, and the above title is tentative until more information comes to hand.

Timeline :
1889 :
This league began the 1889 season as a six-team competition, participating clubs as follows :
 - Serviceton,
 - Kaniva,
 - Nhill,
 - Dimboola,
 - Horsham,
 - Warracknabeal.
Warracknabeal withdrew early in the season.
