The Warriors 2nd Twenty were reportedly referred to sometimes as the 'Pup' Warriors, and that this team would ultimately take over the primary Warrior FC role when the existing 1st 20 was lost to merger.

1901 - It has been suggested that the Stawell Warriors team which existed this year was a progression from the Warrior 2nds team.
